Apple Blossom Festival Grand Street Parade

May 28, 2011 Kathryn will be in Kentville, Nova Scotia. Kathryn is a descendant of Kings County and has been asked to be the Honourary Prade Marshal for the Grand Street Parade for this years Apple Blossom Festival! Kathryn is very exctied about being part of the Apple Blossom Festival and Parade and is looking forward to seeing her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents!

Starmus Festival!

June 20-25, 2011 Kathryn has been invited to attened and take part in the offical opening of the Starmus Festival in Tenerife, Spain!The STARMUS FESTIVAL is a unique scientific, artistic and musical event that will take place in the Canary Islands, a touristic and astronomical paradise in Spain. Tribute is to be paid to the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin at an event in which renowned colleagues and astronauts, such as Alexei Leonov, Valentina Tereshkova, Jim Lovell, Bill Anders and Buzz Aldrin will be taking part.

Starfest 2011 (NYAA)

August 25-28, 2011 Kathryn will be attending Starfest in Mount Forest, Ontario! Starfest is Canada's largest annual observing conference and star party. It attracts over nine hundred astronomy enthusiasts from Ontario, and neighbouring provinces and states. It has been ranked among the top star parties in North America by Sky and Telescope magazine. Kathryn is this years winner of the Bring Home the Bacon Award which she is excited about receiving and following in her fathers footseps once again.
